Dress Code
It is expected that members will advise their guests of the attire deemed acceptable at The Medicine Hat Golf & C.C. before the guests arrive and it is also expected that a sponsor or sponsors of an outside event advise their guests on the club’s dress code. As dress is a personal matter and as contemporary golfing attire changes from time to time, questions regarding the acceptability of any particular apparel can be reviewed with the Club’s Management.
Golf Course Attire
Men:
- Shorts must be tailored and have an inseam length of at least 5 inches. No cut-offs or gym shorts will be allowed.
- Pants must be tailored. No sweat pants or warm up suits with the exception of foul weather attire specifically designed for golf will be allowed. Blue jeans in acceptable conditions are permitted.
- Men’s shirts need a collar or mock collar with sleeves. T-shirts OK if no disrespectful pictures or writing. No muscle shirts.
- No hiking boots, cowboy boots, bare or stocking feet are allowed. Golf shoes, running shoes and Golf Sandals are the accepted appropriate footwear.
Ladies:
- Shorts must be tailored and have an inseam length of at least 4 inches, no cut-offs or gym shorts will be allowed.
- Pants must be tailored. No sweat pants or warm up suits with the exception of foul weather attire specifically designed for golf will be allowed. Blue jeans in acceptable conditions are permitted.
- Ladies’ shirts need a collar when sleeveless, no collar is needed when shirt has sleeves. T-shirt OK if no disrespectful pictures or language. No halter tops.
- No hiking boots, cowboy boots, bare or stocking feet are allowed. Golf shoes, running shoes and Golf Sandals are the accepted appropriate footwear.
Clubhouse Attire:
- Everyone is expected to dress tastefully in a manner appropriate to our golf club. Contemporary and fashionable attire is acceptable. Please use common sense. We appreciate you adhering to our dress code.
